SCZ Site Updates & 3 Exclusive Screenshots!

StarCraftZone is proud to kick off its slew of exciting updates! Throughout the day, the SCZ Staff will be pushing out new content, so keep your eyes peeled and tuned here as we celebrate and give back to all of you who made it all possible!

Last but not least, Karune and the folks from Blizzard were gracious enough to offer up three exclusive screenshots to staff from all major, participating fansites.

StarCraftZone Celebrates Six Months!

Alas, we are happy to celebrate our 6-month mark with a few updates to kick off the day!

Provided below is a small 'taste' of what you can expect from our larger update come Monday.

• Our new, official header
• Two new wallpapers
• New forum icons

Also, we'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest member to the staff, AfroFire.

AfroFire has been hard at work behind the scenes for us the past few months, a sort of 'research & development' around the site. Please give him a hearty welcome; glad to have ya on board!

Transition to 3D - Editorial Special

After a short period of silence, were proud to reveal our first of many editorials to come. Our first article dives into the StarCraft franchise as it heads into 3D territory for the first time.

"In the mid to late 90’s, a period where 3D graphics cards were becoming the ‘norm’, we began to see companies take a growing interest in the 3D aspects of gaming. No longer would we have to adapt to ‘flat’ game worlds, 3D cards now offered increased visual clarity and smoother game play that took the industry by storm. 3D accelerated video games were increasing in numbers but that didn’t seem to hinder the popularity of two-dimensional games."
