StarCraft 2: Campaign Features

Campaign Features

StarCraft II comes with a Single Player Campaign Mode, which has some jaw-dropping new features. Players will now be able to interact with the environment more than ever. This not only gives more dynamic to how you want the missions done, but it also gives you the opportunity to grasp a much larger amount of Lore, and getting to know the Starcraft universe in a much richer, detailed manner.

Character Interaction

In the campaign Briefing Mode, players will be able to control certain characters. In the Hyperion, for example, Jim Raynor will be the player-controlled character.  He will be able to interact with anyone aboard the ship. This grants a much richer experience, for the player can decide who he wants to talk to and what information he wants to know.

Dialogue Choices

Not only will you be able to talk to anyone you see, you will additionally be able to choose what you want to say. Starcraft 2 comes with many dialogue choices for the characters, broadening even more the player's interaction with the StarCraft universe.

Environment Interaction

In the Briefing mode, you will be able to interact with certain objects as well. Aboard the Hyperion, you can view the Star Map, access computers and read their Lore, learn more about the sorrounding planets, history, etc. You can also move to any part of the ship. You can choose to go to the engineering room, to the bridge, or even to the bar to grab a drink, Starcraft 2 comes with that much interaction.

Optional Sub Plots

As if it weren't enough, the players can also choose what missions they want to accomplish. While some missions will be required to partake, the good majority will allow the player to decide for himself if he wants to uncover different side plots or not.  Some of these you can uncover by dialogue alone.

Branching Mission Selection

There are a set amount of missions that you can do, but the new Campaign Mode allows you to choose how you want them done.

Purchase System

In the original Starcraft, certain units would only be accessible at certain missions. However, in Starcraft II, you can use the money you gain in missions to buy the units you want. This feature completes the amazing amount of choices you can make in Starcraft 2.
